About us

A church family in the heart of Quincy

At Bethany you will find more than a church. You will find a community that feels like family, rooted in tradition and open to all, committed to living out God's mission of love, hope and service.

Our mission

"And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day."

John 6:40

We believe that the door to salvation is always open, and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God's love and concern for our neighbors at every opportunity. Through works of charity and by opening our doors to listen and love, we seek to walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Who we are

We are a diverse group of believers: bakers, musicians, social workers, teachers, public servants, business owners and parents, from all races and backgrounds, united by our shared faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

A Congregational church

As a Congregational church, Bethany is governed by its own members, who make decisions together. Bethany is a member of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC), a fellowship of self-governing Congregational churches across the country.
